A workshop for parents and educators about the challenges faced when talking to children and teens about difficult things. It will be conducted by Laurie Halse Anderson, a New York Times-bestselling author who writes for all ages. Known for tackling tough subjects with humor and sensitivity, her work has sold more than eight million copies. Two of her books, Speak and Chains, were National Book Award finalists; another two, Shout and The Impossible Knife of Memory were longlisted for the National Book Award.
