Tussar silk sari from Vidya Balan

When10.00 am to 1.00 pm December 5, 2020

Vidya Balan has great taste in saris, and if she’s picked this one for you, you better pay attention! Straight from her personal collection, a handwoven tussar silk from the famous Odisha-based designer Kumar Guru Mishra’s studio, woven in ikat with sharp and gloriously contrasting hues of black and gold. The textile patterns of Odisha mirror its temple architecture, with sharp feathered peaks of painstakingly dyed fabric forming the borders and the pallu of this ikat sari. Redolent in the coastal tones of Odisha’s landscape, and simultaneously the perfect evening wear, this sari is traditional yet contemporary in its choice of classic black and gold!
Bidding is open from 5th December 2020 to 20th December 2020
