Access and Accountability: The Community Library Project’s Best Practices

06th March 2023

"Needless to say, the largest impact of the pandemic has been borne by those who have been historically excluded from reading and educational pursuits. To understand this historical exclusion, it is important to critically investigate the structures and systems through which it is translated - the structures of caste, class, gender, language, and race that have been used to excommunicate people and communities over the years. To overcome the barriers to educational equity, it is essential to transform and create systems that challenge these existing social structures which promote exclusion in different forms," writes TCLP's Curriculum Coordinator Amita Nowal in the Children First Journal. She talks about the best practices at TCLP in the article, which you can read here.
